BMW M4 GT3, Pau and three new Porsches will go to RaceRoom in 2023

It all started last month with the announcement of a quarterly release schedule for larger DLC packs, interspersed with some small additions. The first was April’s On The Edge Pack – featuring the Mazda RT-24P DPi, McLaren 570S GT4 and KTMX-Bow GT2/GTX – and the next addition will be the BMW M4 GT3.

The M4 is the Munich brand’s current contender in GT racing, competing worldwide in championships such as the GT World Challenge Europe, the Nürburgring Endurance Series and the IMSA.

No release date or pricing has yet been announced, but it is expected within the next “five weeks” and will feature a range of livery designs from real-world events it has attended.

July Porsche package

The second major release for this year then comes in July with the following three cars:

  • Porsche 911 GT3 R (992)
  • Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992)
  • Porsche 944 Turbo Cup

The two 992 generations represent Stuttgart’s contemporary racing series. The cup is used in one-make cups and does not have driving aids such as traction control or ABS. The GT3 R, meanwhile, only debuted this season as a rival to the M4 GT3 on real circuits.

Back in the 1980s, the 944 Turbo Cup, like the 992 Cup, was used for a single model competition. It was a mid-size sports car, sitting above the originally Volkswagen-derived 924 but below the 911.

Again, no firm release date or price is available, but expect these to appear on RaceRoom in July.

Circuit of Pau-Ville

The first new track announced for this year so far is the Circuit de Pau-Ville in southern France. Venue for the historic Pau Grand Prix, the street circuit has been known in recent years as the venue for the World Touring Car Championship and more recently the now defunct FIA World Touring Car Cup.

With the development team’s lineage stretching back to the Race WTCC games, it’s finally time for this venue to make it to the current platform in October. The track will be part of a “Touring Car Pack” with vehicles to be announced.

More new content is expected between July and October and October and December, with a pre-Christmas special pack also expected.
