Caddy confirms: Cadillac V-Series.R is coming to iRacing for its third season in 2023

The rumors and hints were true. iRacing confirmed on Friday (June 2nd) that another LMDh/GTP hypercar will join the service in the upcoming 2023 Season 3 build, and as we have speculated it will be the Cadillac V-Series.R LMDh/GTP.

This Cadillac V-Series.R LMDh/GTP is General Motors’ solution to the new LMDh/GTP classification applicable to 2023 and beyond. It competes against the BMW as well as the Acura ARX-06 and the Porsche 963 in IMSA competition. Next week the car will also travel to France for the big race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Already in the first season of 2023, iRacing released the BMW M Hybrid V8, the first LMDh/GTP car on offer. Now users should be able to choose between the two in the official and hosted competition.

It helps that iRacing is also expected to increase the number of different cars from eight to nine in the upcoming build. That means the car could possibly compete in the Watkins Glen 6HR presented by VCO in two weeks.

Now we know what was raging on the streets of Detroit. The only question that remains is if and when others will join the fray, such as the other two in IMSA competition, namely Acura and Porsche.

The Cadillac GTP joins the Ligier LMP3 and Willow Springs as confirmed for launch next Tuesday, June 6th.

Additionally, Pablo “The Pulpo” López tweeted that MotorLand Aragón will also be released next week. iRacing basically confirmed it when they retweeted him. Watch out for all of that and more when the new build rolls out next week.
