Cadillac GTP, Corvette E-Ray on the cover of Forza Motorsport, details June 11th

The team behind the upcoming racing game, titled Forza Motorsport, on Thursday (May 25) unveiled their cover star cars in the form of two giants from General Motors of the present and near future.

The 2023 No. 01 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R and the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray are the two cars that will grace the cover of the game.

The leading Cadillac is currently competing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Series under the Chip Ganassi Racing banner and recently won at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca earlier this month.

The E-Ray is Chevrolet’s first electrified Corvette and features an “e-AWD system that works in tandem with its LT2 V8 engine,” according to Chevrolet’s official website. Thing looks sharp.

It’s interesting to note that a few months ago, after the base game’s vehicle roster was first released, there was an overhaul that removed half a dozen cars from the original roster. The older 2021 Cadillac #31 Whelen Racing DPi-VR was one of those removed cars.

The older Action Express Caddy was certainly a head turner, but one has to wonder if that decision has anything to do with the fact that this Cadillac Racing / Chip Ganassi Racing cover star is now apparently in contention for the title. Who but the folks at Turn 10 Studios knows.
