SCS Software’s Euro Truck Simulator 2 will receive an update to its Iberia DLC pack with the release of the game’s v1.46 update.
Following Euro Truck Simulator 2’s v1.45 update in July, developer SCS Software gave a first indication of what to expect in v1.46.
Besides working on the brand new Texas DLC pack for sister title American Truck Simulator, the Czech studio has also announced that its Iberia DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) will receive a new upgrade with the next update of the game.
The Iberia DLC covers mainland Spain and Portugal, including the capital cities of Madrid and Lisbon respectively. The Iberian Peninsula is steeped in a diverse history dating back to the colonial era. The landscape is dotted with traditional fishing villages, vineyards, the Tabernas Desert and modern urban culture.
However, an area near Madrid – inspired by the municipality of Arganda del Rey – remained closed to ETS2 players and it is here that SCS will focus its efforts on bringing a new commercial zone into play.
The new area will include the fictional company Construcciones Elcano, first seen in the Austria revamp content update, and will connect to existing motorways and access roads to be included in ETS2’s motorway network.
With some ETS2 players asking for more attention to the Iberia DLC lately, this announcement from SCS seems timely. What features would you like to see in the upcoming v1.46 Iberia DLC update of ETS2? Let us know in the comments below.
