Experience the art of the new Indonesian rally stages hands-on

With the release of the Indonesia update for PC players on Thursday (September 22nd, 2022), I think we can finally say that the rally art is back. It’s been over a year since Funselektor’s last major update in the form of the Kenya update and I have to say I’m looking forward to revisit it.

The new Indonesia update for the top-down rally racing title includes six new stages – Mount Kawi, Semangka Bay, Satonda Island, Oreng Valley, Sangeang Island and Kalabakan Valley – as well as a new freeroam area called Kabeana Island. We’re taking a look at a selection of these stages, which will take players through the various islands, jungles, and beaches recreated in the new content.

This Art of Rally Indonesia update and all stages are free to download. It’s available today (September 22, 2022) for PC players and will soon be available for all console platforms as well.

While many would not associate Indonesia with the rallying discipline of motorsport, there are two official Indonesian rounds of the 1996 and 1997 World Rally Championship seasons, both won by Carlos Sainz. There was also that moment at the 1997 event when Colin McRae’s Subaru caught fire and there was chaos. fun times.

I went ahead and strapped into the Colin McRae-esque rally car to take a look at some of the new stages and what else is included in the update. Right off the bat, it’s obvious just how visually stunning this update is. The elevation changes are incredible and can throw you off course if you’re not careful. Every level I’ve tried is different, each with its own feel.

The Art of Rally Indonesia update is coming to PC in September

The Mount Kawi stage was more of a traditional flowing rally stage. The other two at Semangka Bay and Oreng Valley were a bit more technical but also had their differences in challenge and visuals.

Also, this view at the beginning of the Oreng Valley is just absolutely perfect. You have to check that.

What do you think of the new Art of Rally update? Where do you think the next update will be based on the hint that it’s in the southern hemisphere? Let us know in the comments below. As always, like, subscribe and keep track of more racing game content!

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
