During a live Twitter Spaces chat on Tuesday (September 6, 2022), Frontier Developments’ F1 Manager 2022 Community Managers, Chris Groves and Steve James, sat down to chat about the next planned update for the title.
The 1.7 update is based on community feedback via media such as Discord and Reddit of the game since the title’s initial launch.
While they can’t fix or achieve everything just yet, it says these are some of the big areas that should be addressed first.
Areas where improvements are expected, according to Space, include tire performance, vehicle handling and fuel delta. For those of us with widescreen monitors, UI placement is what’s being looked at. The balance of car parts may also be adjusted.
When it comes to tire performance, the Frontier team tries to make the drop in performance per compound more realistic, e.g. B. what times can be seen with a fresh tire compared to a severely degraded tire. Hopefully the computer will recognize blue flags better.
These are just the big changes and fixes planned for the upcoming update. There are other planned fixes that will be included and shared in a series of patch notes shortly before release. It is hoped that update 1.7 will land between September 19th and September 23rd.
If you want to listen, the Twitter Space recording is available above. After about 13 minutes, Chris and Steve begin discussing the upcoming changes.
