Le Mans Virtual Series 2022-23 Entrant List Now Available!

The entry list for the 2022-23 Le Mans Virtual Series, the elite global endurance racing series, was announced today and includes teams representing some of the world’s most prestigious car manufacturers, as well as eSports teams from around the world. The names of the riders – including world champion superstars from multiple disciplines around the world who will be appearing during the season – will be announced during a special TV preview show on Monday 12th September. A further 10 cars are expected to be entered into the entry list for the increasingly popular and high-profile 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual on January 14th and 15th, the final run of the five-race series that is attracting even more star-name excitement.

The 40 entries for the full season are divided into two car categories (LMP2 – 24 cars; LMGTE – 16) that compete in races ranging in duration from four to 24 hours. Leading global brands such as Alpine, Aston Martin, BMW, Ferrari, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche return to deliver more elite sporting action and achievements, many with multiple entries.

Joining the prestigious manufacturer names are the elite of sim racing competition, including 2021 LMP and GTE champion Team Redline and GTE runner-up Porsche Coanda Esports, making the leap into the prototype class. Among others, Romain Grosjean’s R8G Esports team will compete alongside Floyd Vanwall-Burst, Williams Esports, Alpine Esports, YAS Heat Veloce, AMG Team Petronas Esports and Jenson Button’s Rocket Simsport team in the Prototype class, with all participants compete in an ORECA 07 LMP2. They will be joined in 2022 by Mexico Racing Team, Pescarolo Esport Monaco, Team Fordzilla and Brabham Esports, the latter new to the Le Mans Virtual Series but with a name steeped in motorsport history.

Some of the strongest teams in endurance racing, such as Panis Racing from the European Le Mans Series, GR Vector eSport (a combination of two WEC teams), Proton Competition, D’Station Racing and ARC Bratislava are also represented in both categories.

The GTE category offers participants a selection of Aston Martin Vantage GTE, BMW M8 GTE, Ferrari 488 GTE and Porsche 911 RSR GTE vehicles as well as well-known names from both the real racing and simulation worlds, such as MAHLE Racing Team , SIMMSA Esports, Oracle Red Bull Racing and Prodrive FYRA Esport will be among the contenders battling for championship success.

No fewer than 15 different nations are represented on the entry list by teams from Europe, the United States, Africa and the Far East, a 25% increase over last season. The attractiveness of the Le Mans Virtual Series races continues to grow.
