PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers will have the option to add Need for Speed Heat to their PS4 and PS5 libraries starting September 3rd.
A racing game will be part of the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games collection in September in the form of Need for Speed Heat.
The 2019 game is set in the fictional Palm City, where racers drive modified cars against the police – LT Frank Mercer to be exact – in an environment with a full day-night cycle. Legal races during the day. Illegal races at night.
Developed by Ghost Games, this studio is now focused on various projects as the next franchise entry will be created by Criterion Games which recently subsumed Codemasters Cheshire.
Heat will be available to all tiers of PlayStation Plus subscribers. Plus is a requirement for online gameplay on PlayStation 4 and 5, allowing a significant portion of players to add the title to their libraries for a month from September 6, 2022 through October 3.
A reminder: unlike the Extra and Premium tiers of Plus or Xbox Game Pass, you can download and play Heat indefinitely as long as you’ve added the game to your library and have an active membership – while it’s removed from the monthly game collection October, it will not be removed from your account.
It will be available alongside Granblue Fantasy: Versus and Toem. Will you download Heat? Let us know in the comments below. avg antivirus free 2018
