Next up on the iRacing special event calendar is the iRacing Coke 600

Next on iRacing’s 2023 special event calendar is one for the NASCAR fans. It’s the longest oval race of the year on both the official iRacing calendar and in real-world celebrations: This week, the iRacing Coke 600 starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway with the three NASCAR NEXT Gen Cup cars.

Similar to the iRacing Daytona 500 earlier this year, this Coke 600 will be accessible through official NASCAR iRacing Series races. There are several races that can be entered for both the open setup and fixed setup series. Additionally, if you’ve already competed in NiS, those results count towards the official rankings for the series.

Since more people are expected to register due to the special nature of the event and the track is among the venues included in the subscription, the championship points, iRating gain and safety rating increase could be huge. 400 laps is a lot, so be sure to plan accordingly. This is not a team race, so there is no driver swap!

Unfortunately, there is no official iRacing Indy 500 this year. So for those of us who are used to driving the virtual double, there’s always a chance it’ll be back next year.

Full details of the special NASCAR event are below. Again, this is set to be contested in the NASCAR iRacing Series, not its own separate series, so be sure to check those out to enter.
