The Ferrari Velas Esports Series 2022 has started

A note on the Ferrari Esports Series competition, which is approaching its new phase today.

The 2022 season of the Ferrari Velas Esports Series is about to enter a pivotal competitive moment as the current edition of the famed virtual motorsport championship enters the home stretch of intense competitive activity. On September 6th at 21:00 CEST, drivers from the European section of the series will head to the virtual replicas of the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit, Circuit of the Americas, Spa-Francorchamps and the Indianapolis Grand Prix circuit to compete around the A chance to compete at the next level of the championship and with it a chance to advance to the grand finals in Italy where there is only one prize and that is the winner.

For drivers and fans of the Ferrari Velas Esports Series, the second qualifying show has added key interest thanks to the introduction of two much-anticipated new circuits as the series looks to capitalize on the popular circuits in America and Indianapolis Grand Prix, recently included in Assetto Corsa Competizione one of the two simulation platforms developed by Kunos Simulazione that will be used in the 2022 championship.

Adding Assetto Corsa Competizione to the Assetto Corsa software already in use for the current campaign has proven to be an absolutely smart decision, generating positive feedback from participants as well as new fans of the series and longtime fans.

To add to the spectacle of the European qualifying race on September 6th, the Ferrari Velas Esports Series will welcome a number of special guests throughout the event, starting with the emerging talent of the Ferrari Driver Academy’s first female driver, the Italian F4 World Championship , driver Maya Weug. Maya will join series presenters Nicki Shield and Paul Jeffrey at the Ferrari Esports Studio in Italy, providing insight and analysis into the world of motorsport in the real and virtual world.

Following the European show, the Ferrari Velas Esport Series will air a new episode of the North American qualifying race show on Wednesday, September 7 at 9:00 p.m. EDT, a new initiative created for the 2022 racing season.

Similar to the previous European broadcast, the North American show will feature another Ferrari Driver Academy star: European Formula Regional Championship leader Dino Beganovic will join hosts Amanda Busick and Paul Jeffrey at the Ferrari Esports Studio in Italy. Following the same format of four separate races across four unique laser-scanned tracks such as Assetto Corsa Ultimate and Assetto Corsa Competizione, this broadcast is the last chance for the North American drivers to secure a spot in their own regional final ahead of the combined spectacle of the Grand Final Show.

Both the European and North American drivers will use the impressive Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 and Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo Cars during the broadcast of this qualifying race.

As is customary for the Ferrari Velas Esports Series, the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 Team will be present on both the European and North American broadcasts with an exclusive interview with the Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc presented by Paul Jeffrey (on the European show) and Amanda Busick (on the North American show) which will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the evening.

At the end of each broadcast, only the best virtual drivers have earned the right to qualify for the next stage of the competition – the Regional Final – which takes place on September 13th at 21:00 CEST for Europe and September 14th at 21:00 EDT for North America. The Regional Finals sees the top 24 drivers from each region compete on the two simulation platforms – Assetto Corsa Ultimate and Assetto Corsa Competizione – to secure a spot for the Grand Final, which will be broadcast on Sunday October 2 at 21: 12:00 a.m. CEST.

The tracks for the regional finals have already been chosen: for the European races, Silverstone and Imola will be the protagonists, while for North America, the Laguna Seca and Watkins Glen tracks have been chosen. Both final shows will feature guest stars including Ferrari F1 drivers and Grand Prix winners Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.

After overcoming a series of tough challenges with tough competition, the overall Ferrari Velas Esports Series winner has earned the opportunity to join the Scuderia Ferrari Velas Esports team.

Live streams of the qualifying races and regional finals are available on the official Twitch channel and are hosted by Nicki Shields for Europe and Amanda Busick for North America, with Paul Jeffrey as co-host.
