Logitech’s G PRO Racing Wheel and Pedals were only unveiled on September 21 but are already up £200 after 48 hours.
Fresh from Logitech, which unveiled its first foray into the direct-drive steering wheel market two days ago, the Switzerland-based gaming peripherals maker has increased the retail price of its G PRO Racing Wheel and G PRO Racing Pedals in the UK.
The alarming price hike has seen the Logitech G Pro Racing Pedals jump £50 to £349.99 for the standalone pedals, while the Logitech G PRO Racing Wheel has gone up from £849.99 to £999.99 – a whopping £150 rise in less than 48 hours (applies to UK customers only).
£849 was the original price of the Logitech G PRO Racing Wheel in the UK…
We gave positive feedback on Logitech’s new direct drive wheel, noting that “We found Logitech’s first foray into direct drive to be extremely successful. A well thought out, built and supported product with a bright future. We can’t wait to see what new wheels, accessories and hopeful variants will arrive in the years to come.”
The G PRO Racing Wheel went up to £999.99 yesterday while the pedals stayed at £299.99…
It’s fair to say that within a week of its public debut we didn’t see a whopping £150 in price on the horizon! Oddly enough, the price hikes came in at least two phases, with Logitech’s UK online store selling the G PRO Racing Pedals as recently as yesterday (22nd April).
We reached out to Logitech for comment on the price increases and will report back on our findings.
