Automobilista 2 has been quite a controversial simulation since its release in 2020. Using the same game engine as Project CARS 2, Automobilista 2 (AMS2) developer – Reiza Studios – has worked hard to shake off the physical inconsistencies of the title from Slightly Mad Studios.
The latest v1.41 update is the culmination of this work, with numerous physical tweaks making AMS2 a worthy collection for any avid sim racer. In addition, new cars and tracks are constantly being added to the simulation, including the Daytona Tri-Oval, the Mercedes AMG GT4, the Autoclub Speedway and the 2022 layout of Spa-Francorchamps, which will be added with the new update.

These include a blast with the stunning Ginetta G55 GT3 at the WorldWide Technology Raceway; a Copa Truck race from the 2022 version of Spa; followed by a test of AMS2’s newly added Oval racing ruleset and its classic IndyCar content.
Expect plenty of flying wheels and detached wings as John tastes the delights of Full Course Yellows (FCY). All in the name of research, of course…
