WATCH: Dave Cam drives iRacing’s new Porsche Mission R

iRacing fans can play with some brand new content following Wednesday’s iRacing Season 4 build update. Three new tracks have been released, including the Rudskogen Motorsenter, which is free with membership, and the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, which we may have a video for later this week. For dirt racers, iRacing also released a brand new oval at Lucas Oil Speedway.

While there were also some car upgrades for the ARCA Menards Chevrolet Impala and the Lotus 79, the only new vehicle content comes in the form of the new Porsche Mission R concept car, an all-electric racing machine. The cockpit also lights up as a sim racing rig when removed.

Dave Cam is looking forward to it. The design is pretty epic and it looks like a launch into the future of motor racing, but how does it drive? The all-wheel drive machine with separate motors for the front and rear wheels has only one drive wheel. Don’t be fooled, this thing absolutely flies!

Take a seat and watch Dave navigate the new simulated race car around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Dave will take you through his first impressions of the car as it switches from race to qualifying mode and unleashes another 400 horsepower.

What do you think of iRacing’s first attempt at an all-electric vehicle? Would you like to try this piece, or have you already bought it and, like Dave, were amazed by its incredible speed? Let us know what you think of the Porsche Mission R in the comments below!

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
