find a job by playing American Truck Simulator | Traxion

American Truck Simulator is no stranger to in-game advertisements, with Schneider National – a Wisconsin-based logistics company – featuring recruitment billboards in the popular trucking sim.

What was described as a ‘trial phase’ by developer SCS Software has clearly paid dividends, as the Czech studio has announced another commercial partnership set to run along similar lines.

Swift Transportation is the second company to appear on American Truck Simulator’s dynamic billboards, allowing aspiring truckers to turn their virtual hobby into a real-world profession.

Based in Phoenix, Arizona, Swift Transportation is one of the biggest logistics companies in the USA, with over 17,000 employees – including 13,000 drivers – with official Swift Transportation truck and trailer liveries set to appear in-game in the near future.

“We believe that even the smallest gestures can have a profound impact,” wrote SCS Software’s Community Manager Dareus in a recent blog post.

“By showcasing industry-related content within the game, we aim to create meaningful connections between virtual worlds and real-world opportunities. As countless players pass by our in-game billboards, who knows? Someone might see a recruitment billboard from Swift Transportation and take that as a sign to explore a career in trucking,” he concluded.

American Truck Simulator, Swift Transportation, PC

And who can argue with that logic, given that the Prague firm’s American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 titles both enjoy a passionate community of truck fans – many of whom have made the transition from gaming to trucking in the real-world?
