UMP Modified Car and I-55 Raceway through the end of October for World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing

The first new vehicle class and track for the World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing Season Pass has been “drawn in” for the period October 28-31.

Monster Games and iRacings’ official World of Outlaws game, Dirt Racing, is expected to receive its first significant post-release content drop before the end of October.

Executive Vice President of the subscription-based simulation platform, Steve Myers, recently took to social media to explain upcoming plans.

“You are downloading the first part of the update for the next @outlaws_game patch and UMP modded and I-55 version scheduled for release on October 28th or 31st.”

This followed some Xbox users reporting that their console had downloaded part of a patch yesterday, October 14th.

An optional Season Pass with additional downloadable content is available for the game, priced at $29.99/£24.99.

It is set to add three licensed tracks and two new vehicle classes that will be “released by the end of 2022.”

UMP Modified is a class of dirt oval racing vehicles manufactured under the rules of the United Midwestern Promoters, hence the name. The category already exists on iRacing.

Speaking of which, I-55 refers to the Federated Auto Parts Raceway on I-55, a 1/3-mile dirt track in Missouri that was added to iRacing earlier this year.

Any quality of life changes that will also come with the update have yet to be revealed.

Released for PlayStation and Xbox in September, the title was praised in our review:

“The game has a feel that’s really reminiscent of the days of the early 2000s when console racing games were arguably at their peak. That would absolutely be a game a young me would play every day after school.”
