Some cars have been removed from the original Forza Motorsport base content list

Turn 10 Studios recently made a correction to a previously released list of cars coming to Forza Motorsport this year.

Back on January 25th, Turn 10 Studios Creative Director Chris Esaki posted a blog on Forza.net detailing the forthcoming release of Forza Motorsport this year. There was a car list in the post that included some of the 500 cars that should be included as base content at launch.

Last week, March 2nd, the same Developer Direct blog post had added an editor’s note and changed the vehicle list. “We’ve updated this blog to remove mentions of some cars that will not be available in the base game Forza Motorsport. We’ll be sharing more about when these vehicles are coming to Forza Motorsport and how they’re available in the future. We apologize for any confusion,” the note said.

After a cross-check of the original list, published on January 25th, it was determined that six of the racers were removed from the list as they are not believed to be available in the base edition of Forza Motorsports, per the editor’s note. These cars include:

  • 2018 Audi #44 R8 LMS GT3
  • 2021 Cadillac #31 Whelen Racing DPi VR
  • 2019 Ginetta #6 Team LNT Ginetta G60-LT-P1
  • 2017 Oreca #38 Jackie Chan DC Racing Oreca 07
  • 1983 Porsche #11 John Fitzpatrick Racing 956
  • 2019 Porsche #70 Porsche Motorsport 935

But that doesn’t mean these cars won’t be in the game. From what it reads, they will come, but they won’t just be included as base content. This could take one of many approaches, such as B. Paid DLC, premium add-on content like previous Forza titles have done. AKA spend more money.

It could also be like the current model in Forza Horizon 5, where new cars arrive monthly but are unlocked by challenges and completing certain tasks. We don’t really know what it could be at this point, but those six racers have been specifically removed and it’s worth noting.

That’s why we’ve updated our own posts on the subject and will be on the lookout for more information. A couple of these cars were even featured in promotional material two months ago, which makes it even weirder. Anyway, hold on tight.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
